About Nadine's Festival of the Arts
The Festival's Mission
To provide a program dedicated to the community of La Grange Park, which strengthens the family and the community through cultural and educational programs. Dedicated to the Arts, including, but not limited to, dance, music, painting, storytelling, sculpture, film, and theater, the Festival will provide opportunities for the community to both participate as audience and as performer.
The Festival's Beginnings
In early 2003, the La Grange Park Public Library received a donation from the Kawalek family to create an event in memory of their daughter, Nadine A. Kawalek. Nadine's Festival of the Arts is in tribute and celebration of Nadine A. Kawalek.
Programming
The programs that make up Nadine's Festival of the Arts are comprised of talent at all levels, including students from our local schools to professionals working in various areas of the Arts. Artists from La Grange Park, as well as the greater Chicago area, will perform during this four-day event.
